The AIR Independent Music Awards happened, and the big winners were Remi, who picked up Best Independent Hip Hop Album, Courtney Barnett, who picked up best Independent Single/EP, and Violent Soho, who picked up Best Independent Album AND Best Independent Rock Album. There has been a crowdfunding campaign launched to try and stop Canadian band Nickelback from playing a show in London.
